"DIPLOMAT SIMULATOR"

The second Bitsy game that I played was “Diplomat Simulator,” a very short game with, once more, an extremely simple objective. You are the diplomatic envoy of the president of Turloa, and you have to deliver a message to the premier of Kyrtkovia. When you deliver the message, the premier is not pleased, and as you deliver the message back, tensions begin to rise. The next time you leave, you can see snipers in the window and missiles being ready to fire on the rooftops. As you pass into Kyrtkovia, you can see what look to be nukes. As you deliver the message, the Premier hopes for a ceasefire, but Turloa has sent word of increased military presence. From here things continue to escalate, eventually ending in complete fallout between the two and atomic warfare. The last message you must deliver is from the premier to the president of Turloa. As you emerge to the surface for the last time, everything is rubble. There is nothing left. You descend into the bunker one final time to deliver the message to the president. As you hand it out, its contents become clear… a note that reads “Do you like me? Circle: y/n” I believe this game is on some level a commentary on the Cuban missile crisis, about two nations who refuse to back down from nuclear war. I found its ending to be amusing, but also poignant to the stalling nature of modern politics.

You can find Diplomat Simulator here.
